Things to do in Westport this weekend

There's lots of things competing or your attention in Westport this weekend, from a horse show to an ice cream sundae challenge. Here's a few suggestions for this first full weekend of summer.
Watch the town's teens put their culinary skills to the test Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Teen Top Chef Ice Cream Challenge at the Westport Public Library, 20 Jesup Road. Also on Saturday, seek out some sun (although the forecast is not that promising) along with a story at Storytime by the Sea from 2 to 2:30 p.m. at the East Beach of Sherwood Island State Park, near the Nature Center. Catch the last day of the Fairfield County Hunt Club Benefit Horse Show on with the highlight of the five-day event -- the $25,000 Grand Prix at 1:30 p.m. The show is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the hunt club, 174 Long Lots Road. Wind up your Saturday with a visit to the Westport Woman's Club's "Midsummer Night's Dreamin' " cabaret from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the club, 44 Imperial Ave. Tickets are $25. Call 203-227-4240.
