The Northeast Children's Theatre Co., a Westport nonprofit organization focused on professional theatrical programming for young audiences and families, has announced a new partnership with Fairfield Theatre Co.

In the spring of 2013, Northeast Children's Theatre will inaugurate its seasonal residency at Fairfield Theatre Co.'s StageOne venue with a shortened season of plays and musicals geared toward young audiences, according to a release.

The inaugural season will begin in February with a new adaptation of Aesop's fable, "The Tortoise And The Hare," a musical comedy that premiered in last spring at Stamford's Kweskin Theatre.

In March, the company will present a drama highlighting two stories from the Holocaust in "And Then They Came For Me: Remembering The World Of Anne Frank," written by James Still.

In May, the season will end with "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown."

Founded in 2010 by Morgan Weitz and longtime Westport resident, Tyler Paul, the Northeast Children's Theatre Co. is dedicated to arts education programming and family-friendly entertainment through the specialized genre of children's theater

More details will be announced shortly. All programming is contingent upon secured funding.
