Teen charged with misleading cops probing blaze
A local teenager was charged last week with misleading officials investigating a fire on a home’s porch last April.
Ryan Tripodi, 18, of Post Road East was charged July 28 on a warrant with second-degree falsely reporting an incident.
The charges stem from a small fire — described as “suspicious” by police — on the front porch of a local residence in April..
At the scene, Tripodi had provided information which intentionally misled officers investigating the fire, police said. No damage was caused by the fire, according to the report.
Bond was set at $500 and he was scheduled to appear in court Friday.
