Team effort propels Lady Wrecker spikers

Everyone -- literally -- contributed to the Staples girls volleyball team's 3-0 (25-9, 25-8, 25-15) victory at Brien McMahon Friday.

Staples raised its record to 4-0. McMahon dropped to 2-3.

Katie Platt showed she's capable of contributing, especially as a server with six aces. Platt also had four digs and two kills. Anna Fiolek (four service aces, one kill) and Lindsay Graber (two kills, one dig) also stepped it up.

Joosje Grevers (four kills, one block, one service ace) and Augie Gradoux-Matt (four kills, four service aces, half a block) continued their dominance in the middle when they were on the floor (got a longer than normal rest). Jessica Coelho (three service aces, one kill) took advantage of her playing time in the middle.

Dani Kosinski (five assists, four aces), Kenzie Roof (one kill), Anna Link (one ace) and Amanda Pacilio (one dig) also got ample rest and contributed when they were in.

Jen Dimitrief (four assists, one kill), Frankie Lynch (four assists, one service ace) and Courtney Barry (three assists, two service aces) showed they were capable setters. Cheyenne Haslett (one kill, half a block) and Lili Rappaport (one service ace, one dig) each had an assist while focusing on front row and back row play, respectively.

Amelia Brackett (one service ace, one dig) and Katie Glick (one dig) also contributed.
