Alison Tane defended her George Buck Tournament title of the Longshore Women's golf Association (LWGA) Tuesday by repeating as champion.

Ironically, Buck, who was a golf-teaching professional at Longshore Golf course from 1962 until his death in 1991, taught Tane how to play golf.

After this tournament started three weeks ago, Tane and Diana O'Donnell were the finalists.

Tane had a one-shot lead going into the 18th hole. O'Donnell tied her but Tane was the winner of the first tournament of the LWGA season because of a tiebreaker.
