Earthplace will hold a talk on the plight of the lobster population in Long Island Sound 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at its facility, 10 Woodside Lane.
Professional photographer Peter Massini will show his documentary depicting Norm Bloom and his crew while they harvested shellfish this past summer in Long Island Sound, according to a release from Earthplace. Water quality-monitoring experts Richard Harris, director of Earthplace's Harbor Watch program, and Peter Fraboni, associate director, will talk about their observations on the bottom-dwelling fish population in Norwalk and how pesticides may be causing a decline in lobster and these fish.
Massini, who has been creating still and video imagery for over 15 years commercially, donates his services to environmental organizations, the release states.
