Advocates of a bill in the state General Assembly that would require the labeling of foods with genitically modified organisims -- GMOs -- will host a program in Westport on Sunday, April 1, on what they say are potential dangers posed by GMOs.

The program, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Westport Inn, 1595 Post Road East, is sponsored by the Westport Farmers Market, Wakeman Town Farm and Right to Know CT.

The program will feature holistic health and nutrition experts and area legislators who favor the labeling legislation.

Sponsors have recommended donations of $5 per person or $10 per family to defray the cost of the meeting room.
