The Westport Sunrise Rotary Club will host a talk by Ken Bernhard and Kirsten Griebel, members of the League of Conservation Voters, during its breakfast meeting on Friday, April 26, at 7:30 a.m. at Bobby Q's restaurant, 42 Main St.

Bernhard and Griebel will speak on "How Connecticut Can Deal with Its Traffic Issues."

Bernhard, the league's co-chairman, is a principal in the Westport/Bridgeport law firm Cohen and Wolf. He was Westport's state representative from 1997 to 2005, a Westport selectman from 1987 to 1989 and was elected to the Westport Zoning Board of Appeals in 1989.

Griebel, the league's transportation expert and its education program director since 2010, is coordinating a series of community forums across the state based on information in the Transportation Guide to engage citizens in statewide transportation planning and decisions.

The league is a bipartisan, statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the state's environment by making it a priority for elected leaders.

Guests are welcome. There is a $12 fee for the meeting, which includes a breakfast buffet.
