Stratford man accused of slashing mattress during argument
WESTPORT — A Stratford man was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief following an argument on Halloween.
On Oct. 31 around 8 p.m., officers were dispatched the victim’s home after receiving an anonymous complaint that two people were arguing loudly outside. Upon arrival, officers learned the victim and Tariq West engaged in an argument, during which West allegedly cut the victim’s mattress in several places.
West, 27, was taken into custody and brought to police headquarters, where he was charged and released after posting $500 bond. He was scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on Nov. 1.
