A sing-along screening of the classic movie musical, "The Sound of Music," will be hosted Nov. 29 by the Westport Library.

The free showing of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. in the library's McManus Room.

Lyrics for all of the songs will be posted on the big screen.

The movie won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Music.

Julie Andrews plays Maria, a young Austrian woman who leaves the convent to become a governess for Capt. von Trapp's (played by Christopher Plummer) seven unruly children. Maria wins over the von Trapps, but the family is forced to flee their home when Austria is taken over by Nazi Germany.
