The region’s mobile jobs center will make its next Westport visit Sept. 10.

The Career Coach of the American Job Center Southwest, formerly known as CTWorks, will be at Town Hall that day for two sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.

A new course, “Social Networking for Employment,” will be instructed at both sessions. The course will focus on having an online presence to be a credible employment candidate, and will emphasize using social-networking sites to advance a job search.

The coach is a training center equipped with 10 wireless computer labs, offering free computer classes to residents in the greater Norwalk area.

Area residents interested in registering should contact the town’s Department of Human Services at 203-341-1050 or via e-mail at For more information, including the Career Coach schedule, check the website for American Job Center Southwest at
