A pair of online marketing experts will talk about using social-media platforms to promote business expertise during a free program Tuesday evening, Sept. 2, at the Westport Library.

The program is at 6 p.m. in the library's McManus Room and will feature a presentation by Jeff Seaver, of Seaver Interactive, and Jon Dupree, of Calibrate Marketing & Mentoring, the library said. They will demonstrate how to use business-to-business platforms such as LinkedIn and Google+ to promote expertise.

The workshop also will cover integrating those efforts into an overall Internet marketing strategy and adapting content for specific audiences, the library said.

The program is co-sponsored by the Fairfield County Chapter of Score, the organization of retired executives who mentor small-business people. Organizers recommended participants register in advance online at the chapter's website, www.scorenorwalk.org.

Seaver owns Seaver Interactive, a website-design and Internet-marketing firm in Westport. He has over 20 years of experience in communications and building websites, the library said.

Dupree owns Calibrate Marketing & Mentoring and has 20 years experience positioning products and companies in the business-to-business market, the library said.
