The Westport Center for Senior Activities has announced the following upcoming events:

Saturday, Nov. 16: A social featuring lunch and a musical program will take place 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The menu includes beef stew over egg noodles with buttermilk biscuit, salad, apple pie and beverages. After lunch, John Paolillo, whom the center described as a one-man band, will perfom a medley of oldies, classic rock, Motown, country and jazz tunes. Cost is $7.

Monday, Nov. 18: An AARP safe-driver course will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. The course will review trends and safety tips pertinent to older drivers. Successful completion may qualify some drivers for discounts on auto insurance premiums. Cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to AARP.

Tuesday, Nov. 19: The center's annual Thanksgiving luncheon is planned from noon to 1:30 p.m. The menu includes soup, salad, roast turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, pumpkin pie and beverages. The center suggests a donation of $4 to $6.

Thursday, Nov. 21: Chef Bryan Malcarney of the Blue Lemon Restaurant will conduct a cooking class from 5 to 7 p.m. The class will prepare harvest salad, chicken gratin and apple crisp. Cost is $25.

Monday, Nov. 25: A pumpkin-arrangement class will be conducted from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will make arrangements from seasonal flowers, foliage and decorations. Cost is $20. The center said participants should ask for a supply list when they register.
