The town will resume enforcing its spring and summer ban on animals at the beaches as of Sunday, April 1.
The no-animals ban applies to Compo, Burying Hill and Old Mill beaches.
"Animals will not be permitted on any beach property, which includes all grass, sand and the parking areas, except Soundview parking lot at Compo Beach, as well as the roads within the beach area," Parks and Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy said in a statement.
The ban remains in effect until Oct. 1.
Parking emblems will be required on all vehicles entering Westport's beaches beginning Tuesday, May 1.
