Saugatuck Congregational Church will serve over 300 meals prepared by over 100 volunteers during its 42nd Annual Saugatuck Congregational Church Thanksgiving Day Feast from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22.

It will be held at Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 75 Church Lane, for the second consecutive year due to a fire that caused heavy damage to the church in November of 2011.

The endeavor will be carried out through the church's Community Feasts Project, which serves holiday meals with all the trimmings for free to hundreds of people from Westport and surrounding communities on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, according to a release.

"It is an extraordinary experience of true community as people from differing walks of life, religions, ages, abilities and socio-economic backgrounds gather together for food and fellowship," Randy Christophersen, chairman of the Saugatuck Church Mission Board, said in a statement.
