Sandra Kathleen (Kathy) Kincaid, a volunteer with many Westport community and service organizations, died Oct. 5, 2010, after a brief illness in Corfu, Greece.

Born Sept. 17, 1945, in New Orleans, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Jennings and Mary Louise (Willson) Kincaid. She graduated with a fine arts degree from Indiana University, where she was also a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She joined IBM after graduation and held management and executive positions until her retirement in 1999 after 31 years. She most recently was a real estate agent with William Pitt Sotheby's in Westport.

She moved to Westport in 1983 and became an active in many local organizations, including the Westport Young Women's League, Friends of St. Vincent's Hall Brooke Behavioral Center, Michael Bolton Charities, the Westport Historical Society, the Westport Women's Club, and Builders Beyond Borders. She also was a board member of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.

In addition to volunteer activities, she loved to travel and was devoted to family and friends.

She is survived by a sister Susan Kincaid Shuck and her husband, John William Shuck, and a niece Cynthia Jennings Shuck.

Calling hours will be Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Harding Funeral Home, Westport. Burial will be private.
