After missing by a full day its goal of fully restoring power in Westport KO'd by the nor'easter last week, Connecticut Light & Power says that as of 6 a.m. Sunday all power is back on in town.
The freak snow-and-wind storm blacked out more that 800,000 statewide, and tens of thousands remain without power in some upstate communities this morning.
Peak outages in Westport crested in the mid-20 percent range of the 12,330 accounts in Westport. The utility had projected that electric service would be restored by 11 p.m. Friday, but failed to meet that goal as of late Saturday.
Meanwhile, CL&P also missed its goal of restoring all power in Weston by the projected 11 p.m. Saturday.
By 6 a.m. Sunday, about 17 customers -- or 0.43 percent -- still have no electric service.
Call CL&P at 800-286-2000 to report outages.
