DANBURY - A Danbury man and a New Milford man were arrested on drug charges Friday on Town Hill Avenue. Danbury police arrested Michael M. Whitlock, 26, of Town Hill Avenue, after a brief chase during which he allegedly tossed plastic bags from his pockets. The bags allegedly contained marijuana and cocaine. At a house where policie exercised a search warrant they found Justin Hambidge, 21, of New Milford, in a car. He was found with a bag of white powder which tested positive as heroin. He allegedly also had two pellet guns in the car. Whitlock was charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphenalia, possession of illegal narcotics, interfering with a police officer, interfering with a search and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held on $50,000 bail. Hambidge was charged with possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics and carrying a weapon in a vehicle. He was held on $10,000 bail.
