WESTPORT — A Westport woman fled to a local hotel after throwing items around a home during a dispute, police said.

On Nov. 25 around 4 p.m., officers dispatched to a Westport home on report of a disturbance and, upon arrival, found the house unsecure and unoccupied. Officers observed multiple Christmas trees knocked over and numerous ceramic items shattered on the ground, according to a police report.

Officers later made contact with the victim, who was uninjured and agreed to meet with officers at police headquarters. The victim reported to have been in a verbal dispute with Diana Schuster, police said.

Schuster, 45, had allegedly thrown items around the home during fight, which was witnessed by children. Police located Schuster at a local hotel and took her to police headquarters, where she was charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to child.

Schuster was released after posting $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in atate Superior Court in Norwalk on Nov. 26.
