Police: NY man arrested after argument about kids
WESTPORT — A New York man turned himself in to police Jan. 9 following a verbal argument in December with an unnamed victim over evening plans for two juveniles, police said.
Pound Ridge, N.Y. resident Jacob Margulis flagged down an officer on Elm Street around 5 p.m. Dec. 9 following the argument. The victim and two juveniles left the area prior to the officers arrival, police said.
Officers determined Margulis’ actions violated the conditions of an active protective order from New York and issued a warrant for Margulis’ arrest.
Margulis turned himself in to police headquarters and was charged with risk of injury to child, criminal violation of protective order, and breach of peace. He was released after posting a $20,000 cash bond.
