Police: Mom picked up children at school drunk, threatened them
WESTPORT — A mother suspected of drinking before picking up her children at school last month has been charged with putting her children at risk.
On May 5, Victoria Lieber, 43, of Cranbury Road was suspected to be drunk while picking up her children from school.
According to police, Lieber was given the field sobriety test at her residence by police later that day. Lieber smelled of alcohol and failed the test.
A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court by police and Lieber turned herself in on June 9 on charges of risk of injury to a minor. It was also determined that Lieber threatened the child while driving in the car.
Libeber was held at a $1,000 bond and appeared in court on June 10. She will next appear on July 13.
