Police: Computer dispute ends in assault

WESTPORT — An argument between a father and son resulted in both men’s arrests Saturday night after their fight allegedly became physical.

Police said the father and son, both of Westport, were arguing Aug. 19 over the son taking a computer to college. The son spit in his father’s face, and the father then punched his son in the face three times, according to police.

The father was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, while the son was charged with disorderly conduct. They each received an Aug. 21 court date.

Editor’s note: Westport Police refused to release the names of the two arrested parties, claiming they are both victims.
