Police: Bridgeport woman assaulted man at Westport home
WESTPORT — A Bridgeport woman allegedly hit a man with a lamp, cutting his face, while at a Westport home for a social gathering over the summer.
Police said the man told officers Ava Chuzas was angry with him and then struck him. Chuzas had left by the time police arrived at the town residence July 23 around 2:30 a.m..
Westport police put out a warrant for her arrest and the 23-year-old resident of Coleman Street in Bridgeport turned herself in Dec. 8. Chuzas was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Her bond was set at $25,000.
