International documentary photographer Daryl Hawk will present a slide show and lecture to the Appalachian Mountain Club entitled "Journeys Through Patagonia" on March 9, at Saugatuck Congregational Church.

The program includes wine and cheese at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 and the slide show at 8. The church is at 245 Post Road East.

The program is open to both AMC members and non-members. The cost is $8 for members and $15 for non-members and includes wine reception, dinner and the show. Attendees may pay at the door. The club asks attendees to bring a dessert to share if they can.

Hawk will highlight three distinct areas of Patagonia he has explored in the past decade. Recent expeditions to be covered include the Fitzroy Mountain Range in Argentina, Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, Tierra Del Fuego in Argentina, and Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina.

He will also discuss his travel and photography style and philosophy as well as various techniques he uses when photographing subjects.
