Parade planners need convertibles for WWII vets

Organizers of the town's Memorial Day Parade are seeking convertible cars to carry World War II veterans along the route of the parade, which is planned Monday, May 27.
Officials also asked that World War II veterans who would like to ride or march in the parade contact them.
The biggest challenge, Diamond said, is finding enough convertibles in which the veterans -- now in their 80s and 90s -- can ride, and he urged owners to volunteer their vehicles.
Convertible owners willing to volunteer their cars and veterans interested in participating can call Ted Diamond at 203-227-7680 or email him at email@example.com.
