Stormy weather forecast Saturday has canceled a second round of “Paint the Town,” a public art project to decorate the construction wall around the Bedford Square project downtown.

More than 80 “selfie” self-portraits were painted on the wall last Saturday during the first round of the project. The beautification effort was jointly sponsored by the Westport Arts Center, the Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce and the Westport Downtown Merchants Association.

With heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast Saturday afternoon and event, this week’s project was called off by organizers as a safety precaution.
