NORWALK — A city man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman after she refused to have sex with him, police said.

The victim told officers Ricardo Lopez, 50, threw her on a bed after she refused his advances late Thursday night, police said.

Police said Lopez ripped the victim’s clothes off and rubbed up against her before she managed to escape.

Once safe, the victim contacted police and reported the incident.

Lopez was found at his Concord Street apartment in Norwalk on Friday morning. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree sexual assault. He was held on $1,000 bond and given a court date of Feb. 3.
