Benjamin Henry Nissim, the son of Daniel and Laura Grossman Nissim of Westport, was married to Karen Marie Levinstim, the daughter of Edwin and Kathleen Levinstim of Golden’s Bridge, N.Y., on Oct. 3.

The bridegroom, who graduated in 2004 from Staples High School, is a 2008 graduate of Wesleyan University and a 2013 graduate of the University of Notre Dame School of Law. He is employed as an attorney at Day Pitney LLP in Hartford.

The bride, who graduated in 2003 from the School of the Holy Child in Rye, N.Y., is a 2007 graduate of Boston University and a 2014 graduate of the Fairfield University master’s program for special education, with her initial certification, also receiving a sixth-year certificate from the university in 2015. She works as a seventh-grade special education teacher in the Avon public schools.

The bridegroom’s parents are 20-plus-year Westport residents. His father is employed as an IT business analyst and his mother is a legal nurse consultant. The bride’s parents are retired.

The couple reside in West Hartford, and are planning a honeymoon in Paris in the spring.
