Man killed in Merritt Parkway crash
WESTPORT -- A North Haven man was killed Tuesday night when he was ejected from his car on the Merritt Parkway, State Police said.
Vincent D. DeLucia, 37, was travelling northbound just before Exit 41 when his 2005 Mazda left the roadway on the right side, and struck a rock and a road sign on the embankment, according to the accident report.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Westport EMS technicians at 9:38 p.m. DeLucia was alone in the car, and the accident remains under investigation.
The accident blocked the right lane between Exits 40B and 41, which is east of the Route 7 interchange, for more than two hours.
