Dudley Epps, 24, of Bridgeport, was charged last Thursday with the sale and possession of narcotics.

Epps was stopped for having a headlight out on his vehicle, police said. While speaking with officers, Epps reportedly gave evasive and conflicting answers to their questions. When he was patted down, police said they found he was carrying a large amount of cash.

A subsequent search of his vehicle uncovered scales and glassine bags containing cocaine, police said.

Epps was charged with the sale of a hallucinogenic/narcotic and possession of a controlled substance. He was issued a $10,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear Dec. 13 in Norwalk Superior Court.
