Bridgeport resident Paul Imre, 53, was charged with sixth-degree larceny around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday after allegedly stealing change and other items from unlocked vehicles at Super Stop & Shop, 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff.
A supermarket employee saw Imre enter nine vehicles, police said. Officers called to the scene said they found Imre on the floor of a bathroom in the store, counting change. Imre also took some cigarettes and lighters from vehicles, police said.
He was released on a promise to appear Nov. 12 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
