A Gorham Avenue man was charged Tuesday with stealing more than $25,000 worth of jewelry from a Westport residence earlier this month.

Lukas Vanzantan, 23, turned himself in on a warrant charging him with first-degree larceny.

Vanzantan took $26,000 worth of jewelry from the residence, according to Capt. Vincent Penna, police spokesman.

Vanzantan was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear June 5 in Norwalk Superior Court.
