UPDATE: According to the state's attorney, the case against Robert Depree was dismissed.
A Stamford man was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor/drugs or both after his vehicle ended up on the lawn of a Greens Farms Road home after colliding with a large tree stump last Friday, according to police.
Robert Depree, 46, of Bedford Street in Stamford was also charged with failure to carry an up-to-date insurance card.
A police officer observed Depree's vehicle running with its front end partially on the lawn. The vehicle hazard lights were activated, and Depree appeared to be asleep at the wheel, according to police.
Depree declined to post his $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 24 in Norwalk Superior Court.
