Matthew Faillace, 29, of Weston, was charged with driving under the influence, operating a vehicle without insurance, operating under suspension and failure to drive in the proper lane just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to a traffic accident at 41 Oak St.

At the scene, officers found Faillace unsteady on his feet and having an odor of alcohol on his breath, according to police. Faillace was placed under arrest after failing his field sobriety testing. He allegedly registered a 0.204 and a 0.205 on the Breathalyzer. A 0.08 blood-alcohol level is considered legally intoxicated. Bond was set at $1,000 and he is scheduled to appear Sept. 8 in Norwalk Superior Court.
