MTC MainStage will continue its 25th season with "Almost, Maine" running through the first half of February.

The romantic comedy by actor and playwright John Cariani will be performed Friday, Feb. 3, to Sunday, Feb. 19, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays with matinees 4 p.m. Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Sundays at MTC MainStage Studio Theatre, 246 Post Road.

The play portrays the residents of the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine falling in and out of love in surprising ways on a cold winter night as the northern lights hover in sky above. Comprised of nine vignettes, the production premiered at Maine's Portland Stage Co., according to a release from MTC.

The cast includes Cynthia Hannah, of Wilton, Tim Reilly, of New Haven, MTC co-founder Jim Schilling, of Norwalk, and Katie Sparer, of Stratford.

"Almost, Maine" is directed by Kevin Connors, MTC's executive artistic director and co-founder.

The behind-the-scenes cast includes Scott Holdredge, scenic design; by Joshua Scherr, lighting; Diane Vanderkroef, costumes; and Jennifer Devine, stage manager.

The season will conclude in April with "I Left My Heart: A Salute to the Music of Tony Bennett," a musical revue from the creators of last season's record-breaking smash "My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra."

Single tickets are currently available.

Each performance is followed by a wine and cheese reception where the audience is invited to meet the actors and production team.

Tickets to "Almost, Maine" are $25 to $45, $5 off for seniors and students, and reservations are strongly suggested. Call 203-454-3883 or visit www.musictheatreofct.com for information.
