Fireworks will light up the sky over Westport's shoreline Tuesday night.

The Westport Police Athletic League and the Parks and Recreation Department will host the town's annual sky show for Independence Day at Compo Beach. It gets under way at dusk, or about 9 p.m.

Fireworks ticket sales are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets cost $30 per car; once tickets are sold out, shuttle bus passes will be available from satellite parking lots.

Check to see if last-minute tickets are available at Police Department headquarters at 50 Jesup Road and the Parks and Recreation Department office at 260 Compo Road South.

The rain date for the fireworks show is Thursday.
