Library to hold two college talks

Westport Public Library will hold college-related programs on Monday, Sept. 26, and Oct. 3, in the McManus Room of Westport Public Library, 20 Jesup Road. Both will take place at 7:30 p.m.

On Sept. 26, Lillian Luterman and her daughter, Jennifer Bloom, will discuss their step-by-step strategy for college admission and starting out after graduation in their book, "IN! College Admissions and Beyond."

On Oct. 3, Matthew Greene, education director of college and career-planning consultants Howard Greene & Associates, will talk about the book he co-authored with his father, Howard Greene, "College Grad Seeks Future: Turning Your Talents, Strengths, and Passions into the Perfect Career." Greene will discuss the highly individualistic nature of choosing a career, interesting choices that are frequently overlooked, and imaginative ways in which young adults can identify their goals and take the necessary steps to realize them.

Books will be available for purchase and signing after both talks, which are free.
