The many social and community programs that were developed, proposed and supported through the activities from the Gunn House are historic for this town and throughout Fairfield County.

Although most of this activity occurred from the offices of Ben Gunn, they represented important educational and social activity for all of us. I was senior investigator of a hepatitus study on a grant given by the Education Foundation of America through the efforts developed by the offices at the Gunn House. Perhaps some were in favor and others not, but it was all progressive social activity.

The Planning and Zoning Commission in its wisdom has voted to eliminate rather than move the historic house. The RTM has a chance to vote to keep it. Please preserve the site of some of our important social history of our local culture.
