Weston junior captain Noah Krassin competed as an individual at the State Open championships in boys cross country and placed 79th overall with a time of 17:19 Tuesday at Hammonasset State Park.

"Just going there was awesome," Krassin said. "Personally, I prefer Wickham because I prefer running on hills. I can run on flat courses but the team does a lot of hill workouts, which makes us more prepared for hills. [Senior captain] Brad DeMarco ran with me every day, which helped.

Trojans coach Marty Ogden said, "Noah ran a solid race and it was a good way to finish the season. He's been our steady performer and hasn't had a bad race all year. This is another example of him running his best."
