Kentucky man charged after punching man in face
WESTPORT — A Lexington, Ky., man was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct after punching a man in the face outside a Hillspoint Road home, police said.
On Aug. 23, a victim went to police headquarters to report an assault occured at the Hillspoint home over a month earlier on July 2. The victim reported Ian Pearsoon, 19, and a friend were asked to leave the home multiple times. The victim and another person then escorted Pearson and his friend off the property, at which time a verbal argument took place during which Pearson punched the victim in the face, police said.
Passers-by broke up the altercation, and the victim suffered injury to his jaw that required reconstructive surgery, police said. Police submitted a warrant for Pearson’s arrest, and on Oct. 21, he turned himself in at police headquarters. He was released after posting a $500 bond. Pearson is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on Nov. 1.
