A “Joyful Expectation” concert will be performed Sunday at St. Luke Church.

The concert, which will conclude with a Nativity pageant, will be at 3 p.m. in the church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North. There is no admission fee, but church officials say a goodwill donation is appreciated.

The St. Luke adult and children’s choirs will be the featured performers.

The adult choir, under direction of Daniel Coffman, will sing selections by Holst, Vaughn Williams and de Victoria, as well as traditional and contemporary Christmas carols. The soloists will be: Maureen Kelly, soprano; JoAnna Rogers, aAlto; John Tschirhart, tenor, and Thomas Kramer and Ronald Wayne, basses. They will be accompanied by Leon Bernard, minister of music and organist.

The children’ choir, directed by Todd Caporizzi, will perform “The Carol of the Drum” and “The Baby of Bethlehem.” They will be accompanied by Marguerite Hastings on the piano.

There also will be an organ/piano duet, “Fantasy on Four Shepherd Carols” based on traditional melodies.

A reception will follow in the church’s community room.
