'Jewish kiddie rock' rolling to synagogue
ShirLaLa, a Jewish children's music performer, will present a song and storytelling show on Sunday, March 30, at 11 a.m. at The Conservative Synagogue, 30 Hillspoint Road. It is co-sponsored by the synagogue and Westport's PJ Library.
Musician and Jewish-music educator Shira Kline, who uses the stage name ShirLaLa, performs what promoters call "outrageously hip Jewish kiddie rock." The show is about 90 minutes, the synagogue said in a news release.
Tickets are $10 per child and $25 per family. Proceeds from the sale of CDs and a coinciding book fair will benefit the synagogue's educational programs, according to the release.
