Diana Jermann, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Spencer Ewing, also of Rio de Janiero, formerly of Westport, were married last spring in ceremonies in Brazil and in Washington, D.C.

The bride is the daughter of Edgar and Dr. Lusirene Jermann, of Rio de Janeiro. The bridegroom is the son of Virginia and Meredyth H. Ewing Jr., of Winston Salem, N.C., and Ahmic Lake, Ontario, Canada, formerly of Westport.

She graduated from the Celso Lisboa University in Rio de Janeiro with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and attended the International Language School in Toronto. She is a senior analyst with Ernst & Young in Rio de Janeiro.

He attended Westport schools and the Gow School in South Wales, N.Y. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in history and political science. He was employed in the U.S. Senate's Office of Special Services before relocating to Brazil, where he is an English-language consultant.
