Janice Ann McClenathan Palladino died unexpectedly Feb. 11, 2010, in her Sandy Hook home.

She was born in Bronxville, N.Y., on Sept. 18, 1964, to the late Robert and Marjorie McClenathan. A graduate of Staples High School in 1983, she was employed in Oxford by Eemax Inc.

Palladino was a loving person with a kind soul; always willing to help others. She enjoyed watching the beautiful birds that were attracted to her home by her many bird feeders; along with sitting by campfires.

She is survived by her husband, William Palladino, and two daughters, Michelle and Sarah Palladino. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Winchester of Granby; a brother, Robert McClenathan and his wife, Julie of Monroe; two sisters, Carol McClenathan of Towson, Md., and Sally McClenathan of Sandy Hook; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connecticut Audubon Society, 2325 Burr St., Fairfield, CT 06824.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, is in charge of arrangements.
