A concert of “gypsy” jazz music will be performed by the Rhythm Future Quartet on Sunday at the Westport Arts Center.

The performance will take place at 3 p.m. in the center, 51 Riverside Ave.

The quartet, according to publicity for the concert, “performs dynamic and fiery arrangements of gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw from rhythms heard around the world.”

Rhythm Future Quartet “is an example of extremely talented young musicians who have embraced the Django Reinhardt/Stephane Grappeli style as a springboard for their own creativity. Their exciting drive and technique add a youthful energy to this music and I know audiences will catch that spark,” jazz musician Brian Torff, who curates the arts center’s jazz series, said in the press release.

The Rhythm Future Quartet concert is the first in the Westport Arts Center’s jazz music season, which will feature both internationally known performers and local musicians. Season ticket holders get 15 percent discounts, as preferred seating at all concerts, a free companion ticket to a concert and an opportunity to meet the musicians immediately following the concerts.

Tickets for the Rhythm Future Quartet cost $25 for WAC members, $30 for non-members and $10 for students. Both Rhythm Future Quartet concert and season tickets are available at www.westportartscenter.org or by calling 203-222-7070. A limited number of discounted senior concert tickets will be available at the Westport Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave.
