Westport Public Library will hold a talk by author and futurist John Krubski on his book "Cracking the America Code: A Plan for Getting Us Back on Track" on Thursday, Nov. 15. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

The book, based on a body of work that includes more than 35,000 Americans, began as a marketing exercise to better understand Americans' decisions and values yet ended up being a discourse on what makes this country what it is and Americans who they are.

It includes a list of tenants that define Americans and a "12-step" program for the country's economic and moral success, according to a release.

Krubski, having spent more than 30 years as a marketing and social researcher, helps large and small companies realize better futures with innovative research insights. A small business owner since age 24, he writes extensively on the subject of small business in his role as research advisor to the Guardian Life Small Business Research Institute, the release states.

Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event, which is free. It is co-sponsored with Westport Sunrise Rotary.
