An SUV careened off Interstate 95 Thursday evening, rolling off the highway between southbound Exits 18 and 17, but the occupants escaped serious injuries.

Firefighters were dispatched to the crash scene off I-95 about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, where a GMC Terrain landed on its side after rolling down an embankment after leaving the highway, but firefighters said the four occupants appeared to have suffered only minor injuries and were to get out of the overturned vehicle on their own.

The Fire Department dispatched an engine, rescue truck and command car to the scene, and cleared the scene shortly after 6:15 p.m.
