A Fordham University theologian will lecture on "Views of the Earliest Christian Home Churches" at St. Luke Church on Friday, April 5, at 8 p.m.

The talk is free, and will be preceded by a wine-and-cheese reception at 7: 30 p.m.

The talk by Michael Peppard, an assistant professor of theology at Fordham, is the fourth in St. Luke's series of five first Friday lectures.

Peppard is the author of the book "The Son of God in the Roman World: Divine Sonship in its Social and Political Context."

Peppard also has written numerous papers, articles in books, magazines and op-eds, and has lectured frequently.

Earlier this year he was one of 10 recipients of the Manfred Lautenschager Award for Theological Promise from Heidelberg University in Germany.

St. Luke Church is at 49 Turkey Hill Road North.
