Five youths charged with apartment burglary
A Westport woman and four young men, including a juvenile, were charged Sunday morning with burglarizing a Westport apartment.
The property manager of the apartment arrived and found the front door unlocked, police said. When he entered, he found four sleeping males, who did not have permission to be in the apartment, police said. All four of the youths appeared to have been drinking and partying on the property, said police, who found several empty liquor bottles and several beer cans were found on the premises.
Thomas Bartlett, 21, of Norwalk, was charged with third-degree burglary and permitting possession of alcohol by a minor. Jeffrey Allen, 19, of Norwalk, and Lucas Calloway, 18, of Fairfield, were each charged with third-degree burglary and possession of alcohol by a minor. The name of the juvenile who faces charges was not released.
Following the on-scene investigation, Natasha Kuranko, 18, of Saugatuck Avenue, also was charged with third-degree burglary.
Bartlett, Allen, Calloway and Kuranko were each released on $1,000 bond and are scheduled to appear April 4 in Norwalk Superior Court.
