Fairfield man charged with assault after allegedly causing bloody nose

WESTPORT—A Fairfield man allegedly assaulted someone for the second time in recent months, giving the victim a bloody nose during an argument on Oct. 20.
Steven Shulman hit the victim in the face while standing outside of their car in an Imperial Avenue parking lot in Westport, according to police.
Police arrested Shulman at Gillespie center the day after the alleged assault with a warrant out for his arrest. The 21-year-old resident of Ruane Street in Fairfield was charged with assault, third-degree, and violating a protective order related to an August Westport Police assault arrest for hitting the same victim.
